Widely used over several summer seasons throughout the 1950s and printed in several languages, the idealised design invites the viewer to consider the merits of a summer holiday in the Alps: breath-taking scenery, healthy exercise, and easily accessible thanks to SNCF, France’s national rail company.
The poster is in excellent condition; bright, deep colours and free from any creases, nicks or tears. On the reverse side there is some catalogue information written in pencil and as such, no bleed through to the poster. This could be easily removed if necessary.
