Our Kyoto Card Cases are perfect for carrying small items like cards, coins or keys!
They are made from beautiful Nishijin-ori (西陣織, Nishijin fabric). It is a traditional textile produced in the Nishijin district of Kyoto in Japan. Nishijin weaving originated in the Heian era of Kyoto, around the year 794, when the city became the new capital city, and weaving was developed for the Emperor's court. These exquisite techniques and traditions have been passed down through generations of artisans to the modern day.
You can find out more about Nishijin-ori here!
We are thrilled to be initially stocking three wonderful and practical items: Kyoto Pouches, Kyoto Card Cases, and Kyoto Wallets, all in lots of beautiful designs!
The Kyoto Card Case is about the size of a credit card, and measures approximately 105mm (width) x 75mm (height).
The case is made primarily of soft black leather, with a black zip top. Stitched onto the front of the case is the beautiful feature of the brocade fabric. It creates a little front pocket.
